In The Meantime

In The Meantime

( until it happens; while you are waiting; the time before thing … )

In the meantime is the time spent until some specific thing happens. Example: \”You can start working full-time as soon as you get your license. In the meantime, you are welcome to start training.\”

When you are waiting for one thing to happen, the meantime is the time spent before that thing happens. Example: \”It is 9 AM now and they open at 10. What would you like to do in the meantime?\” Another example: \”I got here early, so I\’ve been reading this book in the meantime.\”
